Parakeet feelings?

wouldnt my parakeets feel or even think im trying to get rid of them if im gone for 4 days. i really dont want them to think that.

After about 24 hours they will be looking for food and water but other than that they won't be missing you. What you are trying to do is to put human emotions onto an animal. They don't think and rationalize like humans. Find someone to take care of your birds. In your home is best. Moving them for few days is likely to stress them more than someone coming in to take care of them.

I don't know that he would think that you are trying to get rid of him.  But I am sure he will miss you and may be depressed while you are gone.  He may even be a little mad at you when you get home.  Just give him lots of attention of loving when you get back to reassure him.

They would more like wonder - Where is She?????  If the person caring for them while you are gone, is known to them, they will feel more secure.

If they are in your home for the 4 days they will be okay.  If they to to another home for 4 days they may wonder ...  But as long as they have food and water and someone to talk to them, they will be fine.  Good you care so much about them.
