  1. Yes ASAP.

  2. only if they are fighting  you will have to .... if they are wild it is best to release them back in the wild..only if you live in a warm climate I lived in TX and I would see many parakeets that were wild they would come up from Mexico,

  3. No they don't need to be separated. They are just talking parakeet talk. The parakeet is a social bird. They hang together in huge flocks. The noise from three or four hundred parakeets is deafening. This is just normal.

  4. LOL!

they are noisy little buggers when they are happy.

If they are not tearing out each others feathers or anything worse, get used to the noise..

or.. just Maybe they are screeching to get loose??

  5. you should describe the screech, maybe they want to mate

  6. Some parakeets are stressed or are frightened and make a screaming sound. Try exercise like taking them for a walk around the house. Talking in a calm tone towards them also works. Remember they were thrown out and need friends.

  7. Their environment being confined to a cage is something they need time to adjust to....then making sure they have plenty of activity/busy stuff for them to jiggle & play & interact with can help...Offering them out of the cage time on a playstand or even ability to play ontop of their own cage is a great release for them as well. Covering them at night after sunset will help getting them on schedule with sunrise & sunset...such times all feathered ones vocalize~ naturally...These lil guys can remain together so long as they do NOT pick upon each other...or if you learn that they are of different s*x & do not want to hassle with egg-laying...Separate them should one begin to lay eggs...remove eggs & replace with similar egg...[I usually pinhole each end, blow out contents then allow to dry well, refill with some calcium granules & replace egg for female to sit upon to discourage further laying...Make sure you offer plenty of calcium supplement to a female should you find egg laying. She will abandon egg once she realizes it wont hatch...but you would like to discourage further egg laying & possible depletion of calcium... Parakeets generally pair nicely as well as with time they learn to enjoy human interaction. Lots of patience & attention results in happy birds & people. Go to some online bird groups to learn more...like www.birdboard.com...there are oodles of people who enjoy feathered ones that are more than willing to advise & share similar experiences~ Feel free to contact me IF you decide you may need a bit more guidance. Take care~

  8. Well, I think to separate them is a good idea. Try to cover them to quiet them down at night. How long have you had the birds? It takes some time for them to get use to there new homes.

  9. only if they are pecking at one another, if not then its just them being parakeets (they screech allot) Good luck! also put out signs saying you found two parakeets someone may be looking for them).
