  1. I believe you can let parakeets out ,but you should really get their wings clipped a little bit ,if that is even done to parakeets,I know on my tiels you  open th wing fully and snip about an inch or less of the first top five feathers, but just call a pet store and find out if you can do that, cut their wings, and don't open any windows or doors and you'll be fine. Also definately keep them away from the mice, they won't bother each other ,but there is the germ factor which you know.good luck.

  2. This is the 3rd or 4th time you have asked this same question and have received valid answers each time..  Why don't you just set some mouse traps?

  3. If you mean wild mice, they won't harm the parakeets but they might try to get at the birdseed, if they realize it's there.

Just having pet mice in the same room won't hurt them.  I have a rat next to mine.

It depends on what you like, but if you want to handle your parakeets, you should get their wings clipped.  You can learn to clip them yourself (I do) but be careful not to get bitten.

This will also prevent the birds from flying out the window or door.  If they are not well socialized and you let them fly, they will go up to the highest place in the room and perch there.

Parakeets are really pretty and cute; they can be friendly or they can bite a lot, depending on how they are raised.  They can learn to say a lot of words, but I've never been any good at teaching them to talk.

They like to see their people eat.  They like talking and whistling.  I play the radio for mine when I'm not home.  They like classical music.

Well good luck with your birds.
