  1. Mine do too. They are getting loose, relaxing, and sometimes they do this when they have gotten wet or are cleaning themselves. I believe most of the time they do it when they stretch. If any discoloration comes to the cere (part of the beak to tell whether it is male or female) usually brown, that means you can expect babies. They always puff up, just like they but one foot under their feathers and stand like a flamingo.

  2. There is many reasons why it would puff up, but the main reason is probably the temperature of the room is not comfortable for the bird. Maby the room is too cold?

Or, since u got is two days ago, it is just getting used to the temperature. If this doesn't help maby you should call your avian vet and ask the vet.

    Hope that helps.

  3. it needs sleep it keeps on fluffing up becuase it maintains warmth. if it also stretches its wings, its a sure sign. cover ur cage with a blanket

  4. it could be happy or really pissed off, but you would know if it was mad.

    So it must be happy.

  5. Lol. Sorta funny to hear that question really. Oh well, I suppose that you would be worried.

The reason why it is puffing up is because it is a type of safety measure. Whenever it comes near an enemy, then it pufs up as a safey precaution, in order to make it appear bigger

Though the fact that it hasn't pecked you is a little awkward. But maybe for now you should just wait and try to get more aquainted with him/her. After all, you've only had it for 2 days
