  1. if you really cared about your budgie, you would take him to the vet no matter how long it takes. Parakeets dont have alot of blood in them. GO TO THE VET NOW!

  2. sometimes it's not always serious maybe if you put warm water on it. it probably scratched itself on the cage. it does heal quick because that happened to a parakeet i have fine and healthy

  3. im not sure but i read that if you put a little cornstarch on your finger then put the constarch on the bleeding point

    also go see your vet

  4. it's probably a blood feather.

A blood feather is a feather that is filled with blood, and it's normal part of a parakeets growth and feather replacement.

If the feather got damaged it could cause bleeding and sometimes it could be serious.

I would take him to the vet, but that's just me.

  5. If your bird is bleeding, it can be life threatening, because they're so small and don't have alot of blood to begin with.

What could have happened is that he pulled out a feather, got nipped by another bird (or otherwise hurt himself) or broke a pin feather that was still encased in blood.

If you have it, apply Syptic Powder using a Q-tip to stop the bleeding.  If you can restrain the bird, apply light pressure to the wound.

The best thing would be to take him to a vet though.

  6. uhhh..... GO TO THE VET! Its the least you could do!

  7. see a vet dumby
