My friend was trying to catch my parakeets and ended up bending the tip of a tail feather. Is it a problem? Also, the other parakeets feather was accidentally pulled out. Will something bad happen?

  1. Should be fine as long as it is not bleeding. He will preen and pick off the damaged end of the feather. The other feather will grow back when he moults. Unless there is blood do not worry. If bleeding need to stop it with flour and pull out whole feather will tweezers. Better off letting vet do that. Good luck

  2. I was actually standing on my tiels tail  one day and she went to fly away in a rush and her whole tail came off.As long as when the whole feather came out it came out to the end whicch means to the pin part  or the plastic part it will be fine, and if your not squimish you could pull off the rest off the other feather so that the whole thing grows back in properly, unless it's just the tip, then dont worry and just snip it with your finger nail even if they are shrp enouf, but if you By the wy the cockatiels whole tail grew back in more brilliant than before, thank god.decide to pull the feather oull it very qiuckly and hold onto your baby and as long as you do it real quick like your pulling a bandaide off the baby won't feel a thin i promise you.

  3. Don't worry it will grow back. Try to snip off the bent feather with a pair of scissors so it doesn't hurt him.
