Parakeets and cockatiels?

Give me any information on Parakeets and Cockatiels.ANYTHING! I just got a cockatiel and Parakeet.

Keep the two of them in seperate cages, because the food varieties can be different, and that way disease is less apt to be spread. Also check if they are both male, because if they are, then you will need to separate then more. Be sure to have stimulating toys, and if they are going to be alone, then try putting in a mirror.

Change the water every day, and the food every other day or so. Try rotating the toys every week so that they don't get bored, and if you can, get a mate for them. You can have two birds be partners without babies if you don't have a nesting box for them.

If you need any help, then try asking your pet store employees, or if they have a bird store, then go there first.

they get along but its better to put them in separate cages atfirst so they get to know each other without fighting.
