Parallel parking spot length questions!?

i live in PA, if it helps

what is the length of the spot you have to parallel parkin in?

what is the width of the spot?

how many inches are you allowed to be from the curb?

...just trying to set up a mock course so practice in =)

  1. The length is 21ft. i believe. The width really doesn't matter. Just set up something that you cant be more than 6in. away from. Yes 6 in. is how far from the curb you are aloud in Pa. You should be good then.


  2. Most of them are between 20 to 21 feet and always 6 inches from the curb.............

  3. On my driving test the instructor just picked two cars and told me to park between them... there was no standard length for the space... but even if there is my advice still applies.

    Find someone who is really good at parallel parking, get them to go with you and point out good spots... tight ones, but that they would park in if they were driving. Then practice, practice, practice!

    And here, in Ca, I think you have to be within 12 or 18 inches of the curb, but can't say for sure. Check your study guide or your states dmv website.

    OMG! lol 21 feet!! I could park 2 cars in there... and 6 inches.. those better be low curbs, how the heck are you supposed to get out of your car!? Wow, how funny things look when you see the same thing all your life...
