This threw me off. I was doing problems with Fm(magnetic force)=iLB but this one I can't figure out...Can you help!?

Two long parallel wires, separated by 0.91 meter, carry currents of 0.8 ampere each. Determine the force on a one-meter length of either wire.

  1. I took this chapter about 5 months ago so I don't remember the exact details but maybe this will be of some kind of help:

Using the right hand grip rule, u'll notice that since they're parallel wires, the magnetic force produced by each is perpendicular on the other. So u have to calculate the B at 0.91 meters (of either wire) then multiply it by the current and length.. Hope this helps good luck!
