I think this is the theme I'm going to base my final research paper for my Art History class on, w the parallelism being between the current exhibit at LACMA titled Phantom Sightings: Art After the Chicano Movement about the attempts of undocumented immigrants to cross into the States & the art work & exhibits at the Checkpoint Charlie Mauer Museum about people crossing over from East Berlin before the wall got torn down.
Can anyone suggest other examples? Please include links.
Also, does anyone know where I can find more art work about the Berlin Wall either online or at exhibits in LA? I don't think I'll be able to make it back to Berlin before the paper is due next month! : )
