Paramount Park Murcia tactician Ross MacDonald reckons interesting competition ahead in TP52 Worlds
Spain’s Paramount Park Murcia were on top of the podium standings on Day 2, as they nudged Gladiator and Quantum Racing down at second and third positions, respectively. However, all top-three teams have the same score line and Spanish team tactician, Ross
MacDonald believes that they will have interesting competition ahead at the 2011 Audi TP52 World Championship in Sardinia.
Despite a third position in the only race on third day, Paramount Park Murcia was able to hold their grounds in the top-three with 10 points. Ross MacDonald, calling tactics on the Spanish boat, reckoned they had a tough day but still caught up to the top
berths. He also said there will be interesting competition in the upcoming days of the championship.
While speaking to local media at the conclusion of third day, MacDonald said, “It was a tricky day out there with the geographical influences in the bay, and so you try not to get caught out too much there. We got off to not a great start, kind of playing
second row a bit. It was quite interesting but really as everyone can see the boat goes quite well in these light conditions, you just have to hang in there. It is very close, the next few days will be interesting for sure.”
Paramount Park Murcia is currently on third position behind Great Britain’s Gladiator and America’s Quantum Racing. The championship has entered a fascinating situation, as all top-three boats have the same score and things will be exciting as the tournament
moves forward.
