i have been feeling very uncomfortable in certain places in my home. I get the feeling that someone is watching me or something may be next to me. I have not seen anything or heard anything but in a certain spot it gets very cold, where i get chills and goosebumps. Where i feel like someones going to pop out and scare me. I don't know what could be causing this but everywhere else in my home is fine. We live on top of an old mine that isnt used anymore and i dont know if that could have anything to do with it. I dont know if these are signs of paranormal activity or not but some information on this topic could be very helpful.

  1. Find out the history of the mine. Did someone lose their life in the mine. Some spirits are not ready to leave the earth because they don't think they are deceased or they feel that they have unfinished business, call a professional paranormal  group that is well known or email such a group. I know New England is loaded with them. England has a program devoted to paranormal activites. In any event, set up a video camera in the rooms that are effected and leave the home and see what flies by.

  2. Not.

A famous magician was asked "How can a person figure out how you did that?"

He answered, "First, you have to understand that it is a trick, magic is not real. Then you can start."

With your problem remember, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC OR PARANORMAL ANYTHING.

Then you can start to find the truth.

If your feelings about your house are real then there is a real reason behind it.

  3. it could be what you think it is but sometimes they are attracted to sensitive people people who can sense them for what so ever reason me it was scary at the beginning it took me two and half year to understand and accept what i was seeing i even saw a psy (it started after i exped near death)it's weired they just show them selves as mist or most of the time like bright sparkles there's good ones and bed ones bad ones appear dark and more in human shape the good ones as mist or sparkles and yes you can definitely have a feeling like you're being watched my advice to you would be not to have fear cause the bed ones feed on negative emotions and weaknesses just ignore it and try a little prayer

  4. I actually have three forms that I give our clients when the call us to come in and investigation. I am more than willing to share them with you. First one discusses natural causes, and using the guideline to rule them out yourself. Second discusses if you've ruled out natural causes, and yet still find yourself uncomfortable, then here are some basic "signs" of paranormal activities. Third is finding a legitimate team in your area, and some guidelines so you don't get swindled.

    Feel free to email me.

  5. email TAPS maybe u could get on tv....google TAPS or ghost hunters....thats cool...remember bad spirits feed on fear...so don't be afraid...

  6. Don't trust your initial instinct. Many times fear fuels our imagination, and we may think something is there that isn't. On Ghost Hunters, the feeling of presence is often investigated by checking for high electro-magnetic fields, or EMF. Have your place checked for high outputs. Generally, TAPS methodically goes through a series of tests.

  7. The cold spots could very well be what is known as an " A/C duct outlet ".  That is where the airconditioner blows out the cooled air. This can somehow induce chills /and or goosebumps. The feeling that someone is watching you is called PARANOIA. This may be an actual ailment so you should seek professional psychiatric help immediately. You are also afraid someone will pop-out and scare you...Hmmmmm...I remember being in kindergarten too. Scary, scary time.

  8. Geewiz! Gotta love these 'cut and paste' junkies who give different questions the same answer (sarcasm intended).

Donut Tim, if you are skeptic, go find another category. Seems you are only here for points.

In answer to your question Aaron, the things you have described are classic phenomena associated with paranormal activity. It could be a draft in that particular spot from any number of sources, be it an air vent, door gap, open window, but only you will know whether it is or not. The fact you live on top of an abandoned mine could be the reason for your 'visitor'. It is possible that a fatal accident occurred down there. It would be interesting to know the history of the mine, it could give you insight to your problem.

I have seen and sensed things, not a cold spot as such, but the hairs on the back of the neck prickle and a shiver runs down the spine, and I can pinpoint the position of whatever caused it.

I rented a house once that was sold by a family when their father had died and their mother went to live in a nursing home. He had died at home, which I found out from the landlord, after I became aware of his presence. I knew his favourite room, 'his' room, was the room I had designated as the spare room, and I sensed him in there on warm sunny days, and got a mental picture of him sitting in there in a comfy chair and looking out the window into the garden. I also sensed him in the main bedroom, which I guessed was theirs, too, being the biggest. I can only think that he missed his wife and wanted me to know he was there. I would talk to him, and tell him his wife was fine, that she was being well looked after, and although there was no audible answer, I did get the feeling he understood. After we moved out, the house was torn down and two units built in it's place, and I wondered whether he had stayed or not.

Call me crazy all you skeptics, but if you choose to be closed minded, you choose ignorance. There are things in this world, and the universe, that defy evidence, proof, and common logic, and may never fully be comprehended.

  9. i have the same problem! in my room, i feel this way, and i just cant shake it but nothing has ever happened...i can identify with you

  10. As compelling as they may feel to you personally, there is nothing to suggest "feelings" are anything more than a psychological state of mind.  In other words, these feelings do not exist independent of you, so they have everything to do with you.

EDIT: I see some people here are closed-minded to reality.

  11. couldn't read ur question, some catfood ad in front of it all

if u think casper is in thar he probably is.

if he's walking thru walls tell him to 'cut it out' and to 'get a life'

  12. If there is a ghost in the house, there is usually a smell that lingers in that place where it likes to be.

This is what happens to me.

    Snow Man

  13. You should research the history of the mine. Bet you anything there was a big accident there.

  14. If you haven't lived in your home for very long it may just be that you aren't used to it yet.  On the other hand you can live in a haunted place and not hear or see anything for months.  I lived for many years  in a house that was haunted and we went over a year one time with nothing happening.  We would still feel watched sometimes and get the feeling that we weren't alone.  Another thing that can cause what you describe is areas of high electrical energy.   We once investigated an old house where the residents were seeing apparitions and feeling discomfort all the time.   We found old wiring that was emitting very high EMF readings.
