Question:

Paranormal experience? *something* drew on my arm when I was sleeping in our new house?

This happened a couple of years ago, could anyone explain it.

We had moved into a new house, on one of the first nights the following happened. I woke up in the morning and when I took my pjs off to take a shower I saw one arm was all dark blue on the upper inside part, at first I was worried it was something medical but then when I wiped it it came off easily and I saw it was ink.

There was none on my sheets or pjs so it was not a pen that leaked or something. I share a bed with my little girl who is a very light sleeper so if I had got out of bed to sleepwalk she would have woken up and besides there were no such markers in the house. living there we heard footsteps, closing doors etc but nothing to say it wasnt wind or the sound from next door coming through the walls.

can anyone give a suggestion as to what happened e.g. why would a ghost or whatever use my arm as a colouring in book?

  2. Very well COULD have been something paranormal. It could also be something easily explained. But only you would know. If you have went over all the possible situations, which it sounds you have, and nothing seems plausible, then I would perhaps consider it a paranormal phenomena. Thanks for sharing BTW!!

  3. Why are you sleeping with your daughter?

  4. IMHO it was something from moving that you didn't notice.

I jam things into my shirt to keep them there... like moving tape, a receipt, a pen.

You could have been too pooped to realize it was there.

  5. If you are asking if a "ghost" did this, I really doubt it.

It was most likely someone else in the house that did it.

Do you have pictures of this?

If a spirit were to "write" on you, they would not use a marker or pen to do it.

  6. 'why she drew on her daddy's arm when he was sleeping.'

    Lol at PD :-)

No way, that is far too sensible an explanation!

I reckon a little lump of blue watercolour paint or similar - like blue loo for your toilet- only appeared on skin because of small amount of sweat - clothes were drier. Fell down sleeve, rubbed for a while, fell out. You are busy moving house so wouldn't notice.

I sometimes find a small red patch of scratches on my skin this is because I get a hayseed caught in my clothes and the sharp end rubs against my skin as I move around without me noticing.

Seriously, even if there was such a thing as ghosts why on earth would they scribble on your inner arm, hey?

  7. Since when did "I don't remember how this happened" come to be replaced by "a ghost did it"?  There are many other possible explanations you'd want to eliminate before you just jump to the conclusion that a ghost is responsible.  Is a ghost responsible for everything else you don't remember doing?

If I were a father of a small girl I shared a bed with and I woke up with ink on my arm my first thought would not be, "a ghost did it".  My first action would be to ask my daughter why she drew on her daddy's arm when he was sleeping.

  8. If it came off easily, it wasn't ink. You must have brushed up against something blue before you put your pajamas on and went to bed. What could it have been? Impossible to say now, but if it came off easily it was probably something water soluble that dried on your arm, or perhaps something powdery. I don't see any reason here to attribute this to paranormal activity.

  9. Finding an ink mark on yourself that you didn't notice when it happened. Doesn't make it  paranormal.  No picture was drawn and if a "spirit" decided to draw anything on you, I would think they would take the time and effort to at least communicate something other then a smear.

It takes a lot of energy on their part to manifest things. That would be allot of wasted energy.

  10. Just trying to use that "Razor" thing that PD and other skeptics talk about.  Could it be some dye off your clothes? Find what you were wearing before you went to bed. Or ,  check out your whatever you were sleeping in. If you took a bath/shower before you went to bed..check the towel you used. Look around the house for anything the same color. You really could have done it during the day at work or wherever you were and didn't notice it till you woke up.Did you take a nap in the daytime and possibly someone did it to play a joke on you? Did you carry some books or items under your arm that might have rubbed off onto your arm? I just don't think it's paranormal...but it sure is a "mystery"!

  11. It does not have to be paranormal just because you are unable to find out what caused the blue ink, look for the logical.

  12. The most important question you need to ask is: what does the writing say?
