Question:

Paranormal problems?

At work when I work the night shift there is this girl I work with. She is 43, married, and around other people she is very friendly. One time at night she told me not to go into the backroom because of a spirit. I was like, "Huh?" and she basically explained to me that she's like the ghost whisper. She's been able to communicate and see spirits since she was 4. She's never acted like a crazy/psycho woman. She's very friendly. I'm not sure if I believe her though. I've had some paranormal experiences in my life, but I don't know. Does anyone else know someone like her?

  1. One of my best lady friends can sense and communicate with ghosts. I tried to help her refine her abilities (I'm not very good) but she seems to be stuck at the spiritual level so no mind reading for her. I can sense ghosts but nothing like she can. Coming from a psychic, I've felt what It's like to die. (empathic connection with a close friend as he slipped away) I can't imagine what it's like for someone who can share emotions with a spirit. You should be glad for her, in that she is still able to be social.

  2. well, i dont think she is crazy, because we each have our special talents, dont we? God might have given this talent to her for a reason. ask her about it.

  3. As a paranormal investigator, I know of many people who can sense spirits.  I can smell them--don't laugh!--while investigating.  They are often preceded by an earthy aroma.  Have you asked her to go with you to the back room?  Has anyone researched the property the where you work?  You can often find an answer to why and who is doing the haunting by doing this.

  4. Don't go to the backroom. Even if what she said was wrong, your mind will make you believe something is there. It could be terrifying.

  5. IT is possible. I don't know anyone personally but I know of people. Watch the show, "A Haunting" It is a paranormal show based on real events. In one episodes a girl had these powers too.

  6. I have run across people who are mentally unstable and/or live a life of fantasy.  I lived in a very liberal college town for 8 years, working as a bartender.  Where many places see the presence of homeless people as a problem, it wasn't really discouraged here.  As a result, there were mentally ill people all over the place.  My position as a bartender forced me to have frequent interactions with these characters.  The run-ins were often entertaining because most of them are harmless, but there were times when things were a little scary.  But I digress.

Your co-worker has created a fantasy-based belief system which can exist whether there are or are not spirits.  She built it at age 4, when most of us live in fantasy, and it has continued to this day.  You don't have to be a raving lunatic to life such a life.  If she thinks she sees them then she does as far as she's concerned.  If you take her seriously, then you will find things to reinforce what it is she's saying.

  7. Well, usually people who come out and tell everyone that, end up being fake...

I do know some people who can communicate with spirits.

But we dont make that an open topic, specially at work.

  8. You'll never know if she can actually speak to them, or if the circumstances simply are overwhelming enough to convince you. But, there are those who are sensitive. They can feel and hear and sometimes see things that the rest of us cannot.

I would explore this with her, if you're interested in actually getting an answer.

  9. Yeah, I'm kinda like that, and I'm not crazy.

She is just trying to warn you, or perhaps she trusts you enough to be honest with you.

  10. being a paranormal investigator I believe anything is possible until you can scientifically prove its not.

  11. Yes, I do know someone like her. And no, she is not crazy.  But , you can go into the backroom if you want to...a spirit only comes in visitation and will not hurt you.  A ghost won't hurt you either, so you are safe, whichever one ends up being there.

  12. I don't know anyone personally who regularly communicates with spirits, but I've had my share of bizarre experiences - hasn't everyone?

I'd be inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt. Even if she wasn't protecting you from a spirit in the washroom, perhaps there was something else evil in the air...?
