  1. Well, its too good to be true, isn't it? A robed figure caught on CCTV in exactly the sort of place you would expect to find a ghostly robed figure. It's so good I'm tempted to say it must be a deliberate hoax (I'm sure visitor numbers must have rocketed after the pictures were released), but with the amount of people wandering around Hampton Court in robes, it just might be a legitimate picture of someone innocently wandering round.

Of course, I fervently hope it is a genuine ghost...

  2. Dr. Richard Wiseman is the one who said it was the best evidence ever.

The only key to legitimacy here is Dr. Wiseman.

Dr. Richard Wiseman is a psychologist who specializes in humor, deception, luck and the paranormal.

He is a skeptic who is known for debunking unusual phenomena, from which he draws on his previous career as a professional magician.

The article you linked he did not authenticate it, he merely said it was the best yet. He was most likely refering to it as the best "hoax" yet. I would be very surprised if he authenticated it merely on hearsay evidence and a video tape of a guy in a skeletor costume opening a door.

Of course there could be little doubt that this entire thing is a hoax,

  3. Looks more like smoke to me, nothing like the ghosts I had seen in my life.

  4. First, there were no staff present at the location, The staff was at the security camera. Upon investigation there was no one there. This is also typical when police investigate bank robberies people tend to leave the scene.

Also, doors being opened by human beings will cause the alarms to go off.

This video offers no evidence of anything other than a human being in costume opening doors with his his/her hands and setting off an alarm.

Had people actually been present and seen the door fly open by themselves and the image only seen on camera or the image not seen on camera and seen by people at the location then you would have something paranormal or at least a well put together hoax.

This is even a poor hoax.

  5. I see no reason to think this is anything more than yet another hoax.

  6. as a paranormal investigator i'd say it's fake, & possibly an actor in elizabethan costume...no more no less

  7. I find it odd it has like a skull like face but it shows no indents of eyes or mouths just like a face

Maybe it could be security playing a joke and it gone on tooooooo FAR!

Or some kids that want5ed to play a joke so they broke in last night... so on

Anyways it does look a little to good to be true but yet no explanations came up don't you find it weird!

It can open door and shut them without using anything else but it's hand

Well I have no clue what this could be and I am familiar with the explanation security gave and saying every door was locked so on

    Weird aye

    Remember

Things aren't always what they seem...

  8. ..............BOO!........did i get you? that was my impression of the hampton court ghost.

  9. It's a still taken from 2003 cctv video footage available in 2003 & shown on many tv news channels at the time so it's old!

The still & report was printed in newspapers at the time also!

If you can find a link & watch the video you might find it interesting!

    Try this:http://angelsghosts.com/hampton_ghost_vi...

Not the full video shown in 2003!

  10. This one is older than a few months.

I can vouch for doors opening and closing by themselves. - So I think it is very credible. -What you have to look at is - were those doors there in that form at the time this ghost was alive? If not, then ghosts will not interact with them.

My story is of my ex-fatherinlaw.

He stayed at an AirForce Base during a visit - and was on his own in a block. He awoke the next morning to the sound of banging upstairs. Wondering what the noise was, he popped his head out of his room. To his left was a set of double doors, and beyond that the stairs. The noise was a bump - thump - bump - bump from the stairs area. Then it stopped. He was just about to go upstairs and investigate - when the double doors swung open towards him, then closed. Moments later (him in shock now) the set of double doors behind him swung out, then closed.

When he got to breakfast with the other guys - he told them this - and they said that the guys used to store their trunks on the top floors - and bring them down before going on leave - bump-bump-bump down the stairs.

    - Somone just returning for their trunk who never made it back.

    - True story from an ex squadron leader not inclined to make stuff up.
