Parasailing!?

I want to go parasailing, but I am extremely afraid of heights. Does anyone have any advice on what to do once I'm up there? What is the exact process of taking off and landing? Any tips? What if it's raining? Better in the early morning, afternoon, when? Should I be worried about sharks when I land? (I am for some reason) If you have any tips or advice at all please let me know!! Thanks.

  1. You'll find Parasailing is fun, and is a pleasant ride. it's not like your falling out of a plane at 120 mph before you open your shoot.  My wife and do it every time we go to florida.  They usually just put you on the back of the boat and gently let you out.  It's really not a heart raising ride, real smooth.  Then they just winch you back to the boat when your done.

  2. Well, you do get up in the air when you parasail, but the sound of the wind going past your ears and the view from above make it all worth while, so you probably won't really notice the height.  It is a neat experience.  Normally, if you are riding with a professional company in the ocean, they will land you on the boat, so you needn't worry about Sharks.  You do have some control over the shute, as far as moving right or left, so that will also give you some feeling of being in control.  It's fun, enjoy.
