Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew admits that his side were lucky to have clinched a draw last night at Goodison Park against Everton.
The Magpies managed to draw their game with Everton in a thrilling encounter. Everton had enjoyed more of the ball possession in the early stages of the game, and dominated for the majority of the 90 minutes.
Newcastle had a slow start, but soon found their feet and rhythm and managed to equalize, despite having seen Everton lead twice on the night.
Everton opened their scoring courtesy of a neat and incisive one-two move between http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international rounded off the move with a low driven strike which rushed past goalkeeper Stephen Harper.
It ended at 1-0 to Everton at half time. Newcastle needed to get a goal back and put on striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sylvain-Marveaux-c34432 when the second half started.
Ba had apparently been upset with Pardew's decision not to start him in the game. His anger at being left on the bench inspired the Senegalese to strike early in the second half and equalize for the Magpies. but Ba scored another goal in the dying minutes of the game, earning a vital point for the Newcastle.
The game was not without controversy, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marouane-Fellaini-c24295 but was ruled out on account of an offside decision. The second was an effort by Anichebe that had crossed the line, but
was not given.

"The one over the line was definitely in and I have said all along - as a lot of Premier League managers have - that the technology must come in. It has cost Everton a crucial goal tonight." 
Goalkeeper Stephen Harper said:
"It was behind me. I genuinely thought I had saved it but apparently it was over the line. “
"It was point blank, you just make yourself as big as you can and I got a bit of luck."
