Newcastle United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew has asked the fans to be patient and believes that the club has made a decent start to the season.
Newcastle started off the domestic season with a 2-1 home win against Tottenham Hotspur, but have failed to win the remainder of their league games.
The Magpies travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Greece-c2908 for their Europa League double legged play off against Atromitos, and managed to draw in the first leg and won the second at home. Having progressed through for a draw in the group stages, the club turned its attention back
to the Premier League.
Next up in the league was a trip to Stamford Bridge to face European champions http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. Newcastle lost the game 2-0, but managed to put in a fairly decent performance where they had their moments to get a goal, but were no match for an impressive Chelsea
side.
Later, they hosted Aston Villa at home in a 1-1 draw. This was perhaps their most disappointing performance of the season so far, where they only managed to secure a point courtesy of some individual brilliance from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-c15884.
So far, Newcastle have only managed 4 points from a possible 9, and there have been mixed opinions from fans and pundits regarding the team’s prospects this season. The club is under immense pressure to deliver and build upon last season’s fifth place finish,
and there are great expectations being placed on the team to finish in the top 4.
There have been some complaints from the fans, and the growing list of injuries has not helped manager Alan Pardew’s cause so far. However, the boss has called for patience, and claims that his side have made a decent start to the season, considering all
the setbacks.
Speaking to the press, the manager said:
“We have done okay. We have had a decent start and I’m looking forward to the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 game.” “The international break does not help any of the squads or the managers to build any continuity. I look at all the teams and there is the odd game where you play
well, but no one has really hit top form.”
