Newcastle United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 national team controversy behind him by performing in a Newcastle jersey this coming season and silencing his critics.
The manager feels that the coming season will be a defining moment in the Frenchman’s career and is of the opinion that the young player should use it to his advantage. Pardew maintains that Ben Arfa should prove the France coaching staff wrong in leaving
him out for the quarter final against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 in June’s Euro 2012 tournament.
The player had been visibly frustrated as a dismal French side went out in the quarter finals, losing to European and World champions Spain in a 2-0 score line. The French team had been termed the ‘dark horses’ of the tournament, and were a very good side
to watch up until they faced the Spanish national side.
Ben Arfa reportedly had a falling out with manager Laurent Blanc, who has since left his post after France crashed out. Now, the French midfielder has the colossal task of impressing new manager Didier Deschamps, who was incidently also his manager at Marseille.
Ben Arfa had a falling out with Deschamps while both Frenchmen were at the club, and the differences between both had led to the player’s exit from France.
Alan Pardew has not seen Ben Arfa play so far this season, with the player out on extended summer holidays with compatriot http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yohan-Cabaye-c37423. However, both players returned last month and have linked up with the rest of the Newcastle squad. Pardew feels that
Ben Arfa is in good spirits after the holidays and is considering playing him in the friendly against Hartlepool.
Speaking to the press, Pardew said:
“He’s been very smiley still. These things can happen at international level. I don’t think Hatem was too impressed with the experience he had there.”
“Good – now show them how good you are with Newcastle.”
Pardew then went on to talk about the upcoming friendly games that Newcastle will play and said:
“The games are about minutes on the pitch. We have squeezed this game in because it works on a number of levels.”
“It gives our fans the chance to see us, and I’m hoping for a great night.”
