Newcastle United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew has been uplifted by the return of first team players Fabricio Coloccini, Cheick Tiote, Danny Simpson and goalkeeper Tim Krul.
The club has so far failed to replicate last season’s flying form and performances. The Magpies had an impressive 2011/2012 Premier League campaign, where the club finished at fifth and managed victories against the likes of Manchester United and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
However, Newcastle has not exactly enjoyed the same form or success. The club has lost out most of its first team players to injury, and have only managed two wins in the league.
Newcastle lost Danny Simpson, Ryan Taylor, Cheick Tiote, Fabricio Coloccini and Tim Krul to injuries and have played with most of its second choice players up until now.
Cheick Tiote has been the greatest loss for the club so far, with Newcastle clearly missing his tenacity and physical presence in midfield. Captain Fabricio Coloccini injured himself while on duty with the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 national team during the international
break.
Tim Krul had injured his elbow in training with the Dutch squad, and the rest had suffered injuries and setbacks in the league.
However, Pardew is a relieved man after he was told to expect some of his first team starters back for tonight’s Capital One Cup clash against Manchester United. The Magpies will take on the former English champions at Old Trafford and will be hoping for
a victory as Pardew targets silverware this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 Simpson and Tim Krul are expected back for the weekend’s game against Reading at the Madejski Stadium. Speaking about both players, Pardew said:
"Danny will train Thursday or Friday all being well. Tim is looking for the all-clear on Wednesday to start back."
Fabricio Coloccini will however make his return tonight against Manchester United. The captain has been missed at the back, and will be a joyful sight for the Toon faithful.
"It's great news for us having him available again. His influence in the dressing room is so calming. He gives us an assurance really and I think we have missed that,” Pardew added.
"As well as the two centre-halves have done - and they have both been terrific, two clean sheets in last two games, they really have played well and I could not have asked for more in his absence - it is just nice having him back in a lot of ways."
