Newcastle United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew has demanded more ‘attacking flair’ from his team ahead of tonight’s Europa League clash with Greek club Atromitos.
The manager is hopeful that his team will turn up tonight and take the game to Atromitos. Newcastle earned an important draw in the first leg of the game and will go into tonight’s match with a vital away goal.
Considering the conditions and pressure of playing away in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Greece-c2908, Pardew is content with the result and believes that it is up to Newcastle to progress through to the group stages of the European competition.
Newcastle had struggled in the first leg, and didn’t really click as they went on to draw the game. The Magpies had a packed midfield and a number of big names out on the pitch that night, but failed to impose themselves.
Pardew believes that tonight will be different, and is targeting a win at home against Atromitos. The Magpies will be without star player http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Hatem-Ben-Arfa-c15884 tonight, who is suspended for the game. Pardew hopes that his other players can step up for the occasion
and demonstrate their attacking prowess.
The manager is counting on the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dan-Gosling-c9845 to help Newcastle to victory and a place in the group stages.
“I’m a little bit disappointed with our flair players this season,” Pardew told the English newspapers.
“Outside of Ben Arfa, we need a bit more punch, and I’m looking for that. If we can play offensively, like we can, we should win.”
Pardew is expecting a much more attack minded performance tonight, but has also warned his side not to underestimate Atromitos, who showed last week that they are quite capable of turning up the heat themselves.  The manager is wary of the threat the opposition
poses, and is acknowledges the other team’s qualities and strengths.
The manager refused to reveal the squad that he will be putting out tonight, and said:
“I haven’t really given too many clues out, because I think it’s important that the team’s right to win.”
“I want six points before that international break, and I think we can get them. My focus is on that, but I need to win this game. We want to continue in this competition.”
