Newcastle United’s manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew has gone on to hail Papiss Cisse for the brilliant display that he put up against Norwich City.
The Senegalese striker started the game for the Toon and his efforts and brilliant instinctive skills saw him score the only goal of the game, which saw Newcastle claim all three points from the game.
Cisse has a number of chances to score in the game, but went on to connect with a Gutierrez cross, as he flicked the ball with the outside of his right foot, to send the ball flying in the top right corner of the goal.
The forward did miss a number of easy chances, but his finish was so emphatic, that it made everyone overlook his wasted opportunities prior to the goal.
The striker joined Newcastle from Freiburg in January and following his move to the club, he has given the team a much needed boost in front of goal.
Cisse, along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812, can cause nightmares to just about any defence out there and the fact that they play together for club and country just makes their partnership a whole lot more lethal than it should be.
Pardew, who is quite delighted with the way his forward has been playing is quoted to have said: “I thought that he had his best game for us today not just in the fact that he threatened the goal but also because his link-up play and his work-rate was right
up there with the best in this division”
“I am really pleased that he got the goal and perhaps he should have had two. In training he bangs three or four goals in quick succession and it surprised me that he missed them actually.”
The manager then admitted that his team’s ability to contain their opponents, despite playing with two strikers proved to be the key factor to them claiming three points from the game.
"Being able to contain it and deal with it when you have got two goal-scorers on the pitch might have been the difference today.”
Should Newcastle continue playing at the same pace, they are more than likely to secure a Europa League spot at the end of the season.
