Newcastle United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812 stay at the club and help them climb up the table after a run of defeats in what has been their worst run of form since relegation four years ago.
The Magpies have only won 2 of their last 13 games, and find themselves at 15th spot with only 20 points to their name. Demba Ba has however been in fine form this season once again, and is currently the club’s highest goal scorer.
The player is strongly linked with a move away from Tyneside since the summer, and is the subject of transfer speculation once again as the January transfer window approaches.
Ba was linked with the likes of PSG, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Manchester United during the summer, but ended up extending his stay at Tyneside. Now, he is once again expected to be on his way out.
The player has a release clause in his contract which allows him to leave Newcastle should any interested party be willing to pay up the £7 million buy-out amount. Most recently, Ba has been linked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786.
Pardew is however hopeful that the player stays at Newcastle and is eager to get the release clause removed from his contract.
Newcastle travel to the Emirates tomorrow to face Arsenal, and Pardew has given his thoughts on the player’s current situation. Speaking to reporters, he said:
“The decision will be made in January whether he stays or goes. If he goes in this window, it will cause us a problem, but I think he’ll stay."
“He has always put out for us. He’s playing well and that’s what I want to focus on. The way he has been committed to the place and the way the fans appreciate him here, I think he’ll find it difficult to find a better home.”
The manager then went on to say that if Ba stays, he will ensure that the release clause is removed from his contract. He added:
“If he isn’t going to renew his contract, we can’t have the clause hanging on the club any more. We will either move him on or secure him in the summer on a new deal."
