Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew was impressed by Chelsea’s Belgian star Eden Hazard and believes the player can lead his club to the Premier League title.
Pardew must have been disappointed by the result at Stamford Bridge. The manager was full of confidence going into the match and had said that he was eyeing a repeat of the result in last season’s 2-0 victory over the Blues.
Newcastle had scored through two brilliant Papiss Demba Cisse goals and had edged ahead of Chelsea in trying to close in on the top four. Last season was perhaps Newcastle’s best since the Sir Bobby http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robson-c31388 days, and Pardew admitted that the victory at Stamford
Bridge was a personal achievement for him.
Chelsea however had other plans. With a new look team that has a number of big names, Chelsea looked to avenge last season’s defeat and grab their third win of the Premier League season. The Blues had the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Raul-Meireles-c30678
and Jon Obi Mikel in midfield and attack, but it was http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 who stood out in the whole game.
The Belgian was impressive as he controlled the game and linked up with Mata phenomenally. Chelsea scored the first goal through Hazard as he slotted home a penalty past Tim Krul. Torres looked dangerous and sharp from the get go as he proved a bit too much
for the Newcastle defence.
The Spaniard had won the penalty for Chelsea’s first goal and scored the second after some neat link up play with Hazard. This is perhaps the most convincing win for Chelsea, where they looked solid in all areas of the pitch.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew recognized the brilliance of Hazard after the game and believes that he may be just the man to reignite Torres’s career.
"You can see why so many top clubs were chasing Hazard and he has certainly given http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 an extra dimension in the first few games of this season," said Pardew.
"My team won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge last May, but Chelsea have a little bit more than they had in their locker last season with Hazard.”
"He has that little bit of arrogance and composure top players tend to have when they get on the ball and he was a real threat against us. He may only have played three games for Chelsea, but everyone can see how good he is going to be."
