Newcastle United manager http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew is hopeful of brining in three more players to St. James’ Park this summer. He is also confident of holding on to all his star names.
The Toon boss is confident that he will be able to bring in three established names to Tyneside before the transfer window closes on the 31st of August. The Magpies have been surprisingly present in the transfer market, being linked to a number
of big names. Their actual activity in the market however has been limited, as the club has only managed to sign three young players, who although look to be exciting prospects, are not exactly world class signings the club needed.
Newcastle signed young midfielder Romain Amalfitano from Reims, midfield enforcer Gael Bigirimana from Coventry city, and recently finalised the move for Australian youngster and centre-back Curtis Good.
Pardew helped Newcastle to a fifth place finish in the Premier League last season, and is keen on improving upon last term’s success and take the club even higher. The manager last night revealed that he is looking to bring three new faces before the transfer
window shuts down. Speaking to the press, he said:
"I don't know if not signing anyone is bad news. I would say that bad news is losing a player, especially one of our top players and I do believe we are pretty strong in terms of that not happening."
"We are in a situation wherein we can hold off any offers that come our way. But if we get players in, then great. I do need a couple of players, maybe three.”
"However, I am very comfortable about going into our first game without any. If, to get a deal done, we need to show patience then that's what we will do."
The club is strongly linked with Lille’s French right-back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567
Milan. As of now, it looks like a move to Tyneside is unlikely, but you never know what will unfold with almost a month still left before the transfer window shuts down.
