Newcastle United boss http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew is eagerly anticipating the start of the new football season and is hoping to bring in more players to the Newcastle squad.
The manager has big plans for the club and is keen on a top four finish next season.
Pardew is confident that he’ll be able to make a transfer breakthrough this week. He hopes to add at least two new players to the Newcastle squad and hold on to current players. With star striker Demba Ba’s release clause set to expire this week, Pardew
is hopeful that there won’t be any exits from the club.
The Magpies are currently at their training facilities in Algarve, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 and the manager had a chance to talk to the press and the club’s official website.
“I think the situation is that by the end of the week – by next Sunday – I think we will have another player in. I’m hoping we will have two players in.”
“And I don’t want to see anybody go out and I don’t think I will. That’s my genuine feeling.”
The team has been surprisingly active in the transfer window this season. The club has been linked to a number of promising and up-and-coming football players.
Lille’s French star and rising right-back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mathieu-Debuchy-c24682 is number one on Pardew’s priority list for the summer. The Frenchman has been linked to the Magpies for quite some time, and the manager is hopeful of signing him by the end of this week.
Another player on Newcastle’s radar is Ajax's http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vurnon-Anita-c36486, and it is understood that the club is lining up a fresh bid for the Dutch man. Anita could possibly be the second signing that Pardew talked about. The player is known for his versatility, being
able to play both in midfield and as a left back.
There is also said to be interest in FC Twente’s Brazilian centre-back http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Douglas-c11600 and Liverpool’s English striker Andy Carroll. With so many big names already present in the squad, Newcastle United could assemble a very impressive unit before the transfer window
closes.
With a month left to go, there is still a lot of time before players start moving in the market.
