Newcastle United manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew is confident that Danny Simpson will stick around at the Sports Direct Arena, despite the player not yet renewing his contract with the club.
Last season, Simpson went on to break out and finally show everyone just what he was capable of. The defender had his best season to date and his efforts, along with the rest of the team’s works helped the team secure a fifth place finish.
Despite the way the defender played and with him being a regular first team member of the team, the right back is yet to put pen to paper on a contract extension with the team.
So far, no one has shown any real interest in the defender, but given the lack of good experienced defenders out there, a team could potentially move in and try to make a move for the defender.
Nonetheless, Pardew is confident that the full back will stick around at the club, despite him being in the last year of his contract.
"He's got a year left on his deal," Pardew said in a recent interview.
"He turned down a new contract and that's where we are. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danny-c10193 could play the whole season next year. We'll have to see."
Pardew then went on to turn his attention to Fraser Foster. The goal keeper has gone on to spend two seasons with Celtic, but with the team not willing to pay the asking price for his transfer, the end of his loan deal would see him return to the Magpies.
"At the moment he is coming back to us,” he added.
"He will be with us until he finds a club and we find a fee that works for us."
Pardew has gone on to prove that he has a very sharp eye in the transfer market and if the manager is set to lose Simpson, he is going to go on and find a decent replacement for him in the near future.
Newcastle have been linked with a move for a number of players over the last couple of weeks and as a result, the team seems to be well prepared to replace anyone who leaves the club.
