Real Sociedad youngster, Ruben Pardo, has admitted that he is willing and at the same time will be more than happy if his current contract with the club is extended to until 2018.
Pardo has been a supporter of Sociedad since he could remember. The youngster was hailed for his impressive performance when his team thrashed Rayo Vallecano by 4-0 on Monday in La Liga.
The player received positive reviews on his performance during the match as he was the provider of two assists.
The young midfielder was extremely happy with his team’s win and the contribution he made during the match.
“I am very happy with the team’s performance and my own.”
Reflecting on the Monday clash with Vallecano, the midfielder shared his experience of the match. He was humbled by the cheers and support shown by the fans to him.
The Spaniard also mentioned that he is at home and feels happy at the club. He added that he is willing to stay with his lifelong club and hopes his contract will be prolonged.
“My hair stood on end when the whole crowd cheered me. These issues I leave to my agent, who I trust, but it would be nice to further extend my contract with Real, because this is my home and I am happy.”
The 20-year-old also remarked on his status in the club and the fact that he is still not a regular starter. He believes his boss, Philippe Montanier, will give him more playing time and as for the moment, he will just be patient.
“It’s very nice that people want you to play, but the Coach decides. I have no pressure, just the opposite, I’m very calm.”
Finally, Ruben Pardo remarked on his teams’ important encounter with Osasuna on Friday. He hopes they will manage to get another great result and make everyone involved with the club happy.
“We know it’s a very important game and we’ll give everything to get three points and give another great joy to the fans.”
The Basque based club are currently sitting on the 9th position after their back-to-back wins in the Primera Division.
