  1. Pardon my French means, "excuse my rude language." This probably stems from the stereotype that French people are rude, or from the long-standing antipathy for them felt by the English, and to a lesser extent, Americans.

    Addition:

By the way, I just want to mention that you've misused "your." "Your" is the the possessive pronoun, it's used when when one is referring to another person's things. For instance, one can say "your car" or "your house." When using the the contraction of "you are" it's always "you're." Sorry for the pedantry, I was an English teacher for some years... I feel it's important, even though some do not.

  2. Its an old catchphrase that people use to fake like the word is a foreign language word, and not a REAL swear word.

Thus, they dont get blamed for talking dirty.    Like its just the listeners fault for hearing a dirty word, thus they escape the blame.

This comes from the days when people didnt talk like trash all the time.

EDIT :  Wikipedia has an interesting article on it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pardon_my_F...
