  1. It's always been a rule. Even at the amateur level.

    How they can rank someone #2, who has never won anything is beyind me.

    I don't feel a bit sorry for her.

  2. She's a hack player and has no business being as popular as she is.

    She's tall, asian, and beautiful.  In her case, her ability to play golf is definitely a secondary consideration.

  3. Ahhhh another tear jerking episode in the continuing tragedy known as Michelle Wie.

  4. Give the kid a break.  She seems to have gotten it substantially together and this was a major setback.  I feel bad for her - but the rules are the rules.  She won't make that mistake again.

    And she's no hack.   She shot a 67 in the first round.

  5. the rule should be abolished with all the walking scorers and electronic scoreboards, etc. to make a signature be so important. At least ask them to sign the card, not DQ them when they forget!

  6. How could someone forget to sign their card when they've done it for years? This just adds to the pain and misery that is Michelle Wie's career. I think she's gotten to the lowest of lows, and I don't believe she'll rebound after this year.

  7. Its definately a "sign" that she will be going to LPGA Q-school !  ha!

  8. I feel bad for Michelle, but she needs to learn these rules. That's what separates pros from amateurs. She has tremendous talent. In 2006, she had 5 out of 7 top 5 finishes, and was ranked #2 in the world.

    Unfortunately, she made bad decisions to play against the men. She needs to mature and quit Stanford and devote herself to golf.  She needs to learn from Tiger Woods on how be a champ.  Tiger always gives 100% each and every tournament.  He is mature and true professional.  Wie will never be half as good as Tiger unless she devotes 100% to golf and grows up.  She has the talent, but talent alone doesn't win championships.;

  9. ^^^^

    What is she going to do when she retires and doesn't have an education though?  That's why she needs to stay in stanford for now.  She did make a mistake on trying to train her game to compete against the men she was great in 2006 where she was finishing 2cd and 3rd in majors though.   The rule is kind of dumb she's a human that makes mistake.  It's like you put your car key's out on a table and you forget to pick them up that's the eqivalent of what happend to her.

  10. She definitely is learning the hard way.....but she will be a great player and we all have to remember she is still young and over protected by here parents.  They need to back out of her management and let others who know how to deal with her issues better.

      She is set for life financially and that is not a great thing for winning.  The older players were hunger and wanted to win  to put food on the table.  These younger kids don't have a lot to win for.  The few who are great have this inside them, I'm not sure she does. yet.
