Los Manos Captain admitted that they have not been performing at an acceptable rate but have confidence in the team’s ability to turn around their fortunes.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Paredes-c18081 took out time to address members of the media regarding Real Zaragoza’s start to 2012/13 La Liga season. La Romareda based entity went into the international break with six points against their names, barely managing to keep out of relegation
slots.
Zaragoza’s performances have been bi-polar to say the least, with two victories and five defeats coming in their seven La Liga outings. The Real Zaragoza captain acknowledged that the results are troubling to say the least but is calm regarding the efforts
shown by the team so far.
With their latest home game against Getafe resulting in 0-1 defeat, Paredes bemoaned the defeat but took positives from the game. He hailed the team effort in the home loss, claiming referee Muniz Fernandez had a decisive role in the outcome of the domestic
game.
Nevertheless, he stated that such results are part and parcel of the game, and Real Zaragoza will have to take them as they come.
"We are disappointed by the outcome of Saturday but confident about team work," he said. "The referee influenced the result, but this is football and sometimes we benefit."
Real Zaragoza have a tough fixture schedule ahead of them as La Liga resumes after the international break. Los Manos travel to Los Carmenes, before hosting Michel’s Sevilla at La Romareda. They then travel to Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou with a home match
with Deportivo La Coruna sandwiched in between.
Paredes was unfazed by the schedule, stating that they had to lock horns against all and sundry during the league campaign, and hence have nothing to worry about.
"The calendar I do not care. Eventually you have to play against all and you can get unexpected points as last season when we won at Mestalla."
Performance wise, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manolo-c23349 Jimenez, who last Friday defended the criticism they received.
"I opine that a person who knows a lot about football is what I'm worth. I'm very happy with my performance. Recently was the player who recovered more balls.
