Parent Paid home care for children in Washington State?

My daughter is deaf and I can't put her in daycare because of that. I was told theres a program in WA that pays parents to stay home with disabled children..but I can't find any info. Please help if you have any for me.

  1. I have never heard of this but that doesn't mean it's not there. I would just look on the DSHS web site. Or call a community center in your area and ask them. They usually know about all kids of resources. I know DSHS has a program to pay for in home child care if a family member comes to your house to watch your children or somebody over 18 that can pass a background check. Good Luck

I live in Seattle, Washington.  My sister has to stay home with her twin son.  He has a heart condition and she can't work.  She gets a check from Social Security.  So check there first.  They will deny you at first, than have the doctor write a note and give it to them.  Or you can just have your doctor write a note before you apply for SSI for your daughter.
