Parents, do you have a nickname for your child ?

...that has nothing to do with their name ? I call my daughter my little bug, she's 6 and she loves it. I am just curious !

I call my oldest Cocotono or Babes.

My youngest is Bubzy or Bafoli.

Umm..not really..My daughters name is Mariah and we call her Riah or Mo sometimes. My sons name is Jason and we call him Jase or Jae sometimes. (His initials are J.A.E.)

My daughter's name is Thalia, but we call her Booby Baby (because she is breastfed) and Princess Poopy Pants (for obvious reasons :D)

We have gone through quite a few nicknames, but those are the ones that have stuck so far =)

Oh, definitely. Each of my kids have their own set of nicknames, lol.

Annika is mija or Annie Bananie.

Jamie is Punkin or Punk.

Juni is Junebug.

Charlie is Peanut or Little Bear.

And then I call all of them "bud", "sweet pea", "cutie", "honey", "sweetheart", etc.

Bug, that's cute.

When my son was really little, I used to call him pumpkin.  He loved that, but both of us just outgrew it.  I stopped calling him that when he was like six or seven.

He's 12 now and he'd probably be so embarrassed if I still called him pumpkin.

I call my son ham-bone or my little ham...and his name is Jorge lol and my daughter is Changa (monkey in spanish) cause she started walking at 7 months and is into everything like a little monkey and her name is Juliana lol and I also sometimes call them my little rats lol I started to nickname my dog that cause she is a miniature Chihuahua and i just started calling all 3 of them rats lol They laugh and say NO! ZOE IS THE RAT!!!

My daughter is a bean (also call her bell(a), since her name is Selah) and my boys are monkeys or monsters. My girl is 3 and loves it, if I call her a monster or monkey she'll quickly inform me that she's a bean.

My daughter's name is Sami, but I like to call her Angel Baby, and Sweetness. The weird part is that when we were in the hospital, I don't think I called her by her name even once, I just called her Angel because that was the first thing that came to mind when I saw her!

My oldest daughter was Turtle when she was younger, and then it stuck. She was really shy so when I stopped to talk to people, she'd hide behind my leg and poke her head out every so often. My middle child is known as Daf, as in Daffidil. Mainly because when my husband mowed the lawns she's say: 'No Daddy, let me pick up all the pretty little flowers first.' Ever the girly girl.

My son who is 3 is called sweet potato bc he is such a fan of them, I can never give him enough of it,, I doubt I'll be allowed to call him that for long tho. Also he's Casanova bc he is so romantic and affectionate with me.

My daughter who's also 6 is affectionately called Spagetti Legs (she's blessed with gorgeous long legs) and Maddycakes-her name is Madison and she loves Pancakes.

My son is Captain Awesome. Don't ask me how that got started, because I have no clue. But he gets demoted when he gets in trouble. If I call him Private, he knows he messed up. But he does get promoted to General every one and a while too.
