for an example, I was babysitting for you and you had two kids. One 5 year old and an eight year old. I was also red cross certified and 13 years old and when you come home, you find the kids in bed when it usually takes you hours and the house clean when it was messy before. How much would you pay?

  1. Im not sure. But when I babysit, I get paid 10 to 12 dollars! somtimes 8, but rarely that happens

  2. Well since you would clean and have the kids in bed and are red cross certified that's a plus I would pay atleast 6-7 dollars a hour because cleaning and being certified are extras.......

  3. 20-25 dollars if its like 8-2am cuz you dont gotta do much... Maybe 35 in the day. Depends om how things go!

  4. I would pay you about $40.

  5. My oldes dautgher babysits for my children so i never pay her. but when she was younger i would pay sitters  about 5 or 6 dollars an hour

  6. 5 dollars an hour

  7. I'm a babysitter, not a parent.

When I started babysitting at age 13, my sister and I went together. The worst-paying job, they paid us about minimum wage (probably 7 dollars at the time, where we live) and then we split that.  But I have also had jobs, even when I was a young teen, where I got $10 an hour.

I don't think you should accept any less than the minimum wage, even though you are young. If you're responsible enough to babysit their kids, you're responsible enough to get paid!!!

  8. night 10.50 an hr

    day   9.50 an hr

  9. how many hours?? I would pay 40 bucks per day or 10 an hour.

P.S. don't let adults short change you just because you are young. when I was younger one lady wanted to pay me 50 bucks a week and I watched her kid every day after school fr about three or four hours and on weekends for about five or six hours.
