  1. No, not date as in being alone. But yeah as the first poster wrote- to get together with the family, and let the 2 spend time that way as long as they were both willing and he was a suitable (had integrity, was honest) young man.

  2. theyre probably already dating and you will have limited control over its development, but if you talk to both of them about what dating is and isnt, what you accept and disagree with, and remain calm and reasonable, it ought to be ok...

but, a 14 yr old dating anyone seems young to me.   be present, enjoy time together---they dont need to go out or have alone time

  3. No. He's 16!  He should be hanging out with kids his own age!!  His testosterone is running wild, is that what you want your daughter hanging out with?  Let her have another year or so before she starts with that!!

  4. i am a parent and I really must advise against these kids spending time alone. IT is not a matter of trust. Kids find themselves in situations they are not mature enough to handle when they are left alone. trust me

  5. well, i think personally 14 is way to young to "date"  maybe friends getting together or him coming by the house. or "day time things" at 16 i know that is a big difference in maturity. from 12 to 18 each year is so different. good luck
