If it's some weird pedophile guy or girl and it is really obvious that they are...then yes, I'd be pretty ticked.

Otherwise...no, it's a great compliment.

Personally, I love it when people tell me how cute or adorable my baby is.  There's nothing offensive in that (at least not to me).  

I am my daughter's biggest fan and I totally agree with the people who say that.

why would someone be offended for someone complementing their child??? I for one do not know ONE parent that would be offended because someone called their kid cute.

the only time I got a little irritable was when people kept telling me how cute "she" was...."she" had longish hair, but was wearing obviously masculine clothing...and I referred to "her" as "bubba".

other than that I have no problem with anyone telling me how cute my kids are...My usual response is "thanks. problem is that HE knows it " followed by a chuckle.

No. I would never get offended. Why should I? Besides, worrying about what people say about my babies is usually the least of my problems- at least each time I've had a new baby...

I think cute is good, babies are supposed to be cute, not hot! Sorry, maybe I just don't really understand your question.

Of course not! I take it as a compliment. My kids ARE cute, lol.

Hmmm... I don't see anything offensive about the term "cute" - although I have heard some people getting upset when they're told this about their children.  

I asked one once why they were offended, and she told me that she had heard cute meant "ugly but interesting".  

Perhaps that was what it meant once, but I certainly don't think that applies anymore.

Babies are cute!  Not just human babies either - think about kittens, puppies, tiger, lion, bear cubs.... All sooooooo cute!!!!!!!!
