I was just at the store & heard a child being whiny to his mother about wanting chocolate milk. From the way they were talking, I could tell that it was a joke.
Had it been overheard by some Y!A questioners, it might have been great fodder for a 'what's wrong with society, everyone should spank their kids right now, just in case' 'question'. ;-)
My kids & I do this sometimes when we're out. Pretend temper tantrums (not loud or annoying to others) when they're told 'no'. 'Threats' to spank if they don't obey immediately. Sometimes we switch it up & I'm the 'kid' & they're the 'parent' (great way to reinforce, via role play, empathy for each other, by the way). Dad's the king of pretending to pout.
All done, in our minds, anyway, as a bit of goofiness.
Do any other families out there do things like this?
