and we just met. Like I meet you and shake your hand, than do the same your your child. (as a politeness thing).

To say hello, what is your name, then for the person the shake his/her hand.

Would you get mad?

How old is your kid?

Do you even understand this question?

  1. I don't have any problem with a stranger shaking my child's hand like you described.

As long as I'm there, and they introduced themselves to me first...  It would be creepy if they tried to shake my kids hand, and ignored me though.

And of course if someone went up to my child and tried to introduce themselves/shake hands when my child is alone.. (Not that they are EVER alone!)

My kids are 6,3, and 4 months.....

My kids would NEVER shake anyone's hand though.  lol  They give dirty looks to anyone who speaks to them they don't know....   =)
