To the parents out there. If your government told you that you could not raise your child at home, whether you had a job outside of the home or not, would you hand your infant over to the state for 8 hours a day?

  1. Infant? No. But I don't see why the government would say this unless there was danger to the child at home. Legally, I believe that every child under school age can be home with their parents unless their is concern for danger within the home.

  2. if the State told me I could not raise my child at home it must have had a good reason.  I would trust that it knew something that perhaps I wasn't ready to face yet.  I would do whatever the state told me to do so that I could keep my kid or have my child returned to me as quickly as possible so that I didn't have the state involved in my life anymore.

Being a good parent means that you get over yourself and do whatever it takes to meet the basic needs of the child, physical and emotional safety is paramount to raising a child to become a successful adult so that the state doesn't have to be involved with him for the rest of his life.
