Parents: Do you have a nickname for your child that he or she is embarrassed for you to call them?

My son is 7, and I call him "Bubbie" and have since he was little. He absolutely HATES for me to call him that, and has forbidden me from calling him that in front of his friends! LOL

  1. i call her stinky/stinky face...so I'm sure when she gets older she will not like me calling her that in public


  2. Yep, mmm hhmm, I've got one, in fact I called in to the local radio station and won their game of who has the worst nickname! lol

  3. I dont but my sister who is now 25 is affectionately known as Ralphie. She got car sick a lot as a child and the name stuck. For a few years she thought that was her name and introduced herself in kindgarten as Ralphie. She now hates the name but as her siblins we just arent willing to let the name drop.

My 14 year old son Erick is an Awsome Athlete..during last years Football Season I Started calling him My Golden Boy, then His Teammates Started calling him "Golden Boy" his Nickname finally made its way up to the Announcers Booth so at Every Touch-Down or Play He made, the Announcers started calling him "THE GOLDEN BOY"...I thought it was Funny BUT He DIDN'T!!!LOL

  5. yeah, my daughter nickname is Na-Na Nu-Nu, ooooo she hates that...only her grandmother calls her that now...lol

  6. Ha well my son is only 5 months, but if he had any understanding of the nicknames I have for him...I'm sure he'd too be embarrassed LOL

    My parents call me opossum. Why? I have no clue, but I hate it!

  8. My twin daughters hate it when I call them Aud and Aub. (there names are Audrey and Aubrey)
