Question:

Parents Live in Different State than Me?

by  |  earlier

My parents just recently moved to Tennessee. I stayed in New York so I could finish school. My parents want to put me on their insurance plan but don't know if they would be able to because of us living in different states. If you know anything about this please answer! Thank you and have a great day!

  1. Please don't lie!! This is a possibility, however the car must be registered in Tennessee, with a Tennessee license plate and you as a registered driver on their insurance policy, then u can take your car wherever yo want to.... drive safely, and click it, or ticket!!! (do I sound like your dad?)!

  2. they may be able to if they lie about were the car is located...if they own the car and register it they can insure it and you can "borrow" it

  3. I think it depends on how old you are, and whether you're a student or not. I would guess that they would be able to keep you on their insurance plan...but I'd have them call their insurance agent to find out for sure.
