So I see all these questions from young teen girls (13-17) "how can I convince my mom to let me get second holes in my ears" .

What's so wrong with getting more?

I don't really see the big deal, they are just asking for an EAR piercing, not a nose ring and a 20 yr old bf with a motorcycle.

I am 19 btw and I don't have multiple piercing I was just wondering.

  1. How many times a child can have their ears pierced or of they even can have their ears pierced is the parents personal choice. My ex- mother in law was a beautician and she pierced my older daughters ears with out my consent when she was just a few weeks old, She had trouble with them for years because she would get them  caught on the sheets or she was allergic to certain types of earrings. With my two youngest girls my husband and I decided that when they are 13 then they can make the decision as to whether or not they want their ears pierced, we have taken alot of flack from family members who think we are too strict about the earrings, but as a parent you do what you feel is best for your child. Even if the child and others don't alwaya agree with you.

  2. h**l if my daughter(if i have one) or even if my sons came up and asked me that they wanted to get any piercing i would be alright lets go do it what you want pierced and why. h**l i have had many holes in my body in the past 7 years lol

  3. People really ask that?

Wow when I turned I was 15 I had 3 in each ear.

I guess my Foster Parents trusted me, and knew I'd look after them.

  4. I'm not a parent, yet. But I'm 17 and I still don't see the big deal. As long as they are doing it because its something they really want and not something they want because all their friends have, then why not?

  5. It depends on the personal preference, I wouldn't see a problem with it but some people think it looks trashy or maybe they believe it will make the kids want to get more piercings on their nose or lip, ect.

  6. My 14 year old asked me the same thing and I told her no, lol.  Reason being she hardly ever wear earrings in the holes she has...I see no need for a second set.

  7. my cousins ex put a second hole in the childs ear by the time she was 2!! that was wrong because the child did not ask.

if my daughter asked me i would say no because she is only 4 and doesnt wear earrings now. but if she were older and actaully wore them i would tell her to wait a day or two and see if she still thought it was a good idea, shes gonna do it one day any way right?

  8. No idea. My mom always let me get my ears pierced - she told me I had to think about it for 24 hours before hand and if I still wanted it after 24 hours I could get it done.

I see no problem with ear piercings. Or most other piercings for that matter.

**I have no idea why I am getting thumbs down when pretty much everyone agrees on the issue.

  9. i have no idea..im a mom to a 17  year old boy and a 12 year old girl i have 8 earrings total...five on one ear..two at the top...three on the other one on the top...she hasnt asked for a second hole...but i would let her get one..and i have no tats..so its not like im really far out there either
