So my parents are telling me that you apply for colleges the end of your junior year in high school. Either I'm totally stupid, or I'm right, but I thought that is only if you wanna get accepted early or something. So someone fill me in. Do you really apply your junior year?

  1. I don't personally know of anyone who applied that early (not to say that it hasn't been done).  Most people from my school applied between October and January of their senior years.  Those who applied for early admissions applied according to their school's deadline (usually around September of your senior year).

Edit: Usually people start looking at colleges in junior year and summer before senior year.

  2. you should begin getting ready to apply for college by the end of your junior year, and if you're serious about early acceptance then you will be submitting forms in early autumn, but you don't actually apply for regular decision until the middle of your senior year.
