I guess you could advise me as I don't know what to do. Our school system is terrible I'm high school student currently, I hate it there but my stubborn parents won't allow me to study in Uk or another country, even if I have good grades-they wouldn't support me financially. I'm bullied at my school -by teachers, yes, and I can't help it. I'm turning 18 next month and here's the big deal - I'm considering leaving on my own and go somwhere else to finish my education. I'm very mature, I speak fluently 3 languages, but could I make it without my parent's help?

  1. you can make it without your parents help!

    good luck!

  2. you could apply for scholarships, but most countries have as part of their visa requirements the ability of the applicant supporting themselves financially; as long as you can prove this, i cant see why you cant make it.

Also you as you're soon to be 18 when choosing an university course pick one that allows/ requires you to study abroad as part of the curriculum.

  3. It sounds like your almost done so why not wait and try figuring out what you will do for college? Go study abroad or apply to a college in another state. Your parents may not support you leaving now because of your maturity or their finances. You sound a little s****. for a high schooler, but I don't know the particulars. I would get below the radar  at school, get awesome grades and plot your college plans. Once your 18 you can do whatever you want, but just remember who you are going to want to help you pay for it, your parents, the ones you are trying to go against. This time will be over soon, tough it out, its good for you to not always get what you want.

  4. Suck it up and ride on. If you don't like your school, transfer to another. You're going to graduate high school soon and head to college. Save your study abroad experience for then. It's a little bit tougher than just moving to a foreign country and getting on their school curriculum.
