Why does the education level of a married couple determine the number of children they have?

Know of a couple who has 10 children and the couple both did not complete middle high school.

  1. Didn't you already ask this question?  I don't think education levels have anything to do with how many kids you have.

  2. Education levels have everything to do with it.  If you're not well informed, you're most likely going to be irresponsible about birth control.

My mother quit high school to have me at age 16.  It never even occurred to her to speak with her doctor about birth control. My sister and I are 15 months apart.  People who live like mushrooms rarely ask why.

  3. While some of it may have to do with irresponsibility and lack of effort into birth control, some educated people have lots of kids because they want to or for religious reasons. After all, having all those kids requires a lot of money and if you've got a great degree that can help.  It may be more likely that the WOMAN has a lower education though because people who believe in lots of children also often think of the wife's place as in the home, etc.

  4. educated parents know how much they make, and plan accordingly. They want each child to have the best life possible, and thus, PLAN. Uneducated parents just want to have kids for the heck of it..they think a big family is going to be fun.. and lucky? but they can't provide for every kid...educated people who make tons of money, have lots of kids... its just..society!
