I am only 20 so I see a lot of the here and now of what teens are doing. s*x, alcohol, drugs, drop outs, dead beats, not to mention all the violence. I won't lie... I drank in high school and I smoked pot, but I learned really quick that drinking should only be done in moderation and in good company and that drugs will only lead to distruction. I also had s*x at a young age *tho not as young as girls and boys are doing it now*. I struggled through school because I thought everything else was more important. And I am ashamed to say, that the ONLY reason I cleaned my act up was because I got preg. my Sr. year of h.s. * But I don't regret it! I'm glad that I did, she's probally saved my life!*... My question is how many of you are afraid your children MIGHT travel down the wrong path? No matter how much you talk to them.

  1. no matter what you do there is alwasy going to be some smoking this someone stealing this it's life. But yes the world has come to almost hitting rock bottom. Yes almos everyone broke some of the rules and then cleaned up because of something o someone no matter how much you talk to someone sometimes they're just gonna do wat they want so if they wanna ruin there life let them live on and see the sun rise again jus one more morning and setagain so you can see it rise tommarrrow to simblolize that a greater day then thiss will soom come and people will declare it  holiday and it will be celebrated long after we die and out legends die out

  2. I try not to worry and I teach my kids right from wrong and hope when they are older they will make the right decision. But to learn right from wrong they will make a few mistakes along the way and that is when what you have taught them you hope will work

  3. You're right. Talking to them does only so much good. I've decided to journey with them, I'm going to homeschool. Obviously they're going to go out on their own eventually, but I will be confident that they'll know the right path to take. Most people go through some kind of rebellious phase, I'm sure my kids won't be any different. I'd rather know they were being stupid deliberately than because they don't know better. (So, to anyone who wants to give my thumbs down about homeschooling, at least I've thought about the issue and have a plan; and what do you know about homeschoolers anyway? "I heard of someone who homeschooled and is a freak..." That's great research.)

Don't be ashamed that it was your pregnancy that cleaned you up. There's plenty who get pregnant and don't care enough to clean up. Kids surely are a good reason for us all to pick up our act! And I'm saying that as a non-smoker who's never done drugs or even smoked cigarettes :) I have other bad habits, lol.

Edit: Ha ha :) Studies show that homeschooled kids have better social skills than the average public schooled kid. I don't think prom is worth suffering through a public school education for, and homeschooled kids also play sport. There's a reason I'm parenting my kids and you will parent yours. To each their own!!

  4. well im still younge 14 as a matter of fact and dont judge me ive made stupid choices in life ive had s*x  ive done basicly any drug stuck infront of me and i used to drink a lot and smoke but then my parents let up on the rules so they wernt so tight and natzi like and i stoped all those thing u need to give ur child a bit of room to try new things but u dont have to worry about them so all parents out there dont block ur children from all this bad things otherwise they will just do it around ur back so give em a little bit of slack

  5. i do...i worry about my oldest son the most though i had him at 16 and though he's only 6 1/2 he has been through alot already and i can see he's upset and frustrated so he acts out, i fear when he gets older it will only get worse with today's society!

  6. You can only do your best to give them the morals and self dicipline and teach them right from wrong but they are going to make their own choices in life you can only pray that they make the right ones amd if they don't hopefully they can be responsible. I am more worried about the world we live in than the choices my child will have to make as a teenager. Be a good parent and be there for your children and they should turn out just fine even if they make a few mistakes along the way because that is what makes them who they are.
