Parents, is Green Day appropriate for a 13 year old?

I'm 13 and I enjoy listening to green day. Some lyrics are about drugs, s*x, politics, and some contain profanity, more sparingly in some songs than others. I don't know how my parents would react if they found out, so how would you react if you found out your child was listening to Green Day?

I'm not being "brainwashed" or anything, but parents sometimes think differently than their kids, so I just want to hear your opinion.

Here is my opinion. I am not really a big fan of green day but some of their songs are very good. But people say there parents dont mind them, then thats not a good sign. your parents should allow you to like them instead of sneaking around buying the c'd sneakily. and i am also 13

Yes,  Green Day are suitable. Although there are some references to innapropriate things and topics. I wouldn't deny your child listening to their music.
