Parents never seem to be Happy.....?

well they are probably thinking about a divorce cause they are bored! but they stay together because you and your sis...just remember is not your fault (nor your sister's)

ask them separetly if they are happy

found some time for each of them and do something fun (if they think football is fun then sit next to him and watch it)

So you are the live-in maid?

First of all, get a handle on your own life... you can do chores while being active in school clubs and extracurricular activities or even getting a job after school. What you need to do is quit trying to be a walking-talking Roomba.

Get a big calendar and put your schedule on each day... this club on Friday afternoons then mopping the floor when you get home. This activity on Tuesday afternoon and then clean the bathrooms when you get home. The dog and cat will have to be serviced no matter what. When the pipe up to complain, you point to the calendar. This way you are eliminating any nit-picking after the fact.

Learn to be content with yourself. You will probably never make your parents happy... it isn't possible. About all you can do is try to keep your relationship with them relatively free of static. Don't tie up your own self-esteem in a quest for their approval... it won't work.

Sounds to me like your are a great daughter.  Your parents should be very proud of you.  You want them to have fun and I agree with you they need some fun in their lives along with some relaxation.  A cruise would be nice for them.

Go to a travel agency and get some information on different cruises.  When you have your parents together show them the information about the different cruises.  Tell them that you want them to go some where and have some fun.  Tell them they work to hard and deserve a vacation. And that you thought a cruise would be fun as well as relaxing.

That's about all you can do.  You can't make them go any where just suggest that they go.

Do you have family close by that can convince them they need to have some fun in their life?
