  1. 1. yes

    2. no

    3. 5yo, 3yo, and 7 mo.

    4. Yes

    5. very

    6. a good idea

    7. sight hearing touch, (they get smell and taste from food, milk).

    8. any thing small enough to choke on like beads are not appropriate, some zips can be sharp.

    9. they all sound good, although done many times find something original.

    10.  Consider the age of the child the toy is aimed at.

Very young require small, light objects to grip that are in bright contrasting colours like black and white checks or yellow and red spots (for better visibility) .

My 7mo is mostly interested in the white brand tag attached to each toy so I suggest lots of short ribbons.

Babies have a fascination with faces perhaps that could be your theme.

They also love paper, the sound of it, feel of it and get excited at the ripping sound.  Unfortunately its unsafe because bits of it end up in their mouths but if there is some product that has similar qualities that would be a good inclusion too.

Sometimes the good old saucepan and wooden spoon banged together like a drum is a favourite and balls are always popular.

Maybe you should observe some children/babies play they would be your best teacher on the matter.
