Parents playing with kids toys?

Question

Who plays with their kids toys? I have never ever been interested in my kids toys until this past weekend. We had a birthday party for my son who turns 4 on Wednesday and my daughter who turned 2 last week.....well my parents bought my son the Incredible Hulk mask and gloves that make cound effects and I can't stop playing with the gloves lol I have been punching my husband and kids all weekend! Playfully! My husband was cracking up at me and my kids are all axcited that I am actually playing with them.....would it be wrong to buy my own pair of Hulk Smashing Gloves?

I think it's a great thing for a parent to find things to do with their kids- even silly things like this.

I have a toddler and we color together, play in the sprinkler together and other things during our day.  As a result we have a special bond together that is undescribeable.  Go for it, and ignore the weird looks you could get for it.  your kids need to see you be a parent but they need to see you be silly and on their level once in awhile too. It's good for everyone. :)

I'm not a parent but I'm one of the good aunts who will get on the floor with the kids and help them play with their toys.  If they need extra people to play.  I did it for my niece and nephew's little sister (who is in no way related to me) after her birthday last year when she had to try out all her toys after the party.  Smashing gloves are excellent.

If it get you face to face with your kids playing, and is stress relieving, then by all means, get you some!

We only had 1 tv channel growing up, and at least once a week, we played board games like monopoly, checkers, cards, etc.  Not only did it sharpen our thinking processes, but we communicated, and learned things.  I think we need to do more with our kids in these times.

My son has a full set of K'nex rollercoasters. I love to play with them. And his R/C trucks and race sets. I think a part of being a parent is allowing your inner child to play with your kids. It brings hours of enjoyment and lasting memories. If you want a pair of Hulk Smashing Gloves go buy a set and have fun!!

Go for it! I love to play with my daughter's legos! It's great stress relief! While your at it, buy one of those blow up punching bag thingys. I think they're sometimes shaped like a football player. That way you can teach your kids not to hit other kids or people (or pets, in the case of my nephew and his incredible hulk gloves, haha!). Have fun!
